Dear Friend of Christian Camping,

Christian camping ministries can be found in 94 countries around the world. Christian Camping International is an alliance of 18 associations whose leaders serve the Christian camping movement and impact 11.5 million campers each year.

Christian camping takes many forms throughout the world.  Generally, Christian camping applies the common threads of, 1) the use of the outdoor setting, 2) time away from the routines of life, 3) temporary community building, 4) spiritual intentionality and 5) joyful, fun and challenging adventure experiences.  These combine to serve God and build His Church.

Christian camping meets the needs of campers of all ages; however, younger children are especially drawn to this ministry.  Over 2 billion people in our world are under the age of 15. Research shows that most people make their significant spiritual decisions before the age of 15.  This constellation of; 1) a massive wave of next generation young people, 2) the most receptive years of one’s life and 3) the attraction of Christian camping makes this a strategic ministry to reach the world for Christ.

This new generation seeks authenticity and relationships. Christian camping proclaims the timeless truths of Christianity but in an intensely relational context using methods that are relevant culturally and generationally.
