Where were you born and where do you live now?
I was born April 26, 1959, in Yamagata-city, Japan. I live in “C-on Kinshuko “Christan Camp of Iwate now for 34 years.
How did you become a Christian and did camp play a role in your spiritual development?
My mother is a Christian and I have grown up in her prayers.In 1974, at 15 years old, I accepted Jesus at a Christian camp here in Japan (named C- on Kinshuko at the time). In 1982, I became part of the staff at Kinshuki Bible Camp
Tell us about your family.
My wife - Hiroko and twin daughters (31): Etsuko & Junko, son :Tadashi (26). And Siberian Husky Dog (12).Etsuko of the older sister of twin daughters gets married in 2012 and lives in Osaka.Etsuko delivered a boy on March 19. So I became grandfather at last on March 19.
What role(s) do you have in Christian camping? How have you been involved in CCI?
I am a member of the officers' meetings of CCI/Japan. I work as a chairperson.
What do you do on your day off?
I serve a wife. (half a joke, the half truth). Photography, Lesson of the tea ceremony, fly fishing, telemarketing.
Besides the Bible, what is your favorite book?
Japanese old book, ”Fuu Shi Ka Den”
What kind of music do you like? Any favorite recording artists or song?
Jazz, Fusion, Rock Django Reinhardt “minor swing,” Seawind ”morning star,” Tack&patti. There is a lot so as not to be able to begin to write it.
What is your favorite Bible verse? Any story that tells us why?
Psalm 8:4 – “What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?”
